Automotive paint gun fluid tips?
i am a proffessional car sprayer so i know what im on about, not sure which guns ure using, but would recomend devilbiss( not to keen on the sata's) the bigger the fluid tip, the more paint will come out the gun when your spraying , i use a 1.3 for spraying that does me fine, it might not be that thats causing the orange peel though, ill list what i think it might be, could be the air cap, but doubtfull, i use a 115. try turning up the air pressure, i spray at 2 bar. if its to low it will be orange peely, it could even be your clearcoat is too thick, maybe thin it down a touch more. it may even be technique. try this for a change, we call this a double header. insted of letting the first coat dry, as soon as youve done the first go staight over with the second, this also save paint. sorry ive gone on a bit hope this might help a bit kd
